Eurovox ex 1000 sl

Hi everyone,
After some help on the above box.
I have just purchased one brand new, set up on tv, managed to get the channels etc but were scrambled.
Attempted to download firmware as instructed via "NULL & USB" managed to get to download stage, but cannot get my device regconised.Have brought all new cables, still no joy, have followed most of the advice giveing to others, is there anyway of checking that the box is working ok, if is there something else i should try, any help or suggestion would be welcome.
