eurovox ex l 1000sl

    i have a eurovox ex 1000sl..the box comes on and i get sound and can change channel but i just get a black screen and thats all ive got all the leads in and everythin any ideas??

    try a new scart lead as i would say that is your problem

    thats the 1st thing i done still the same i tryed at a mates house and the same at his anymore ideas?? thanx

    are you using a full 21 pin both ends on the scart

    also check your settings on your tv set it to ext 1 or av1

    yes tryed that ive got a starview 1 and thats working fine of the same scart lead maybe its just broken when i take the scart out or in it flashes diffrent coloures

    did you just put new firmware on this box

    as im not sure if you know but the latest file will not work if you have a clone box

    so if your not sure try the december release

    hi.. no ive not put anything on it ive done lots of box updating so i know wat to do.. ive open up the box and it looks like its burnt out its got black smoke around the scart sockets . thanx anyway

    if you dont put firmware on the box it wont work lol

    i know wat i am am saying is the box is on and turns over and sound is on and everything ok apart from the screen is black and cant see anything i think it burnt out

    yes unless you put firmware on the box how do you expect to see anything they are encrypted

    You still should have a menu screen once its turned on.

    Have you pressed the menu button on the remote, make sure your batteries are ok and in the correct way round. If the scart isnt working try an using the TV/Video out via the appropriate cable to you TV.
