ive got the same problem with my sv1 m8. i was advises that if it looks fried then replace it. mine looked fine but i replaced it anyway and it still dont work lol. good luck coz i no how much of a pain iy is, the caps r only 50p
If they look blown replace them as said. Why didn't you return it should still be under warranty although not now if you have taken the lid off.
Mine box wasn't powering up yesterday neither. After opening it up I found out the mains inlet pin was broken. So I brought one of those from maplins, unpluged the wires that connect to the switch and mains inlet, took the wires and mains inlet to a electronic shop and the guy soldered them for a £1. The mains inlet wasn't the same as eurovox since their inlet as clips and no holes for screws to be fastened but I just super glued it to metal case. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?moduleno=12050
hey hi-teck. i rang place that i got it from they sending out new psu for me to fit and said they will still cover it as i will be putting in replacement psu.which i think is excellant customer service as saves me posting whole box back..waiting for them to get box them looking at it and posting it back to me.. so thats why im having a look at psu..
yammagamm, Where did you buy your box from? I need to buy one for my brother. The last place I brought mine from was http://www.mycablebox.co.uk/ When the box arrived I could hear something ratterling inside the box hence why I had a faulty mains inlet a few months later. I emailed the guy a few times and he ignored me.
Yes that is good customer service considering you opened the box, hope it works out for you when it arrives, all the best.
