Hello fella's, my partners got a 5000 pvr which is causing all sorts of grief. You were good enuff to sort his initial problem out (same prob) As usual whenever he records, he has yet to see ANYTHING! and he's about ready to get rid of it. Whats happening is: He has used the guide again to get latest firmware+when he's ready to record all he gets is"hard drive is full or not installed"! He is really fed up with this as he has followed the guide several times but still no luck! His latest gripe is; He showed me the guide+ we both went thru it,now when he presses the"download" box all he gets is"waiting for response from reciever"+it doesnt"respond" I decided to try you guys as he was grateful for your assistance when we 1st got the box. My partner has now bought himself a dvd recorder+from past experience i know that this means he has had as much aggro from the PVR, that he'll literally toss it into the bin!.So in essence we dont feel that this product is doing what it's supposed to do,so if you could give me some advice before he "disposes" of the box.

firstly when it says no response unplug mains lead then plug it back in this usually works when you do get the firmware on and scanned etc
make sure you connect the scart direct to tv for now
make sure the hard drive is firmly pushed in then press the record button thats how i got mine working after having same problem
