I have the Eurovox EX5000 for a few months and have had problems with it since mid December (it worked perfect before that).

I've updated it with the firmware 5.12.08 with autosort on from the "Latest fixes" thread, and deep scanned on the 3 rates, and still nothing.

The problem I get is that the signal strength is 8%, though when scanning it jumps to 15-20%, and when it finishes no channels are saved or found. I thought the problem was caused by N*L in Dublin but not sure.

Can you advise whats wrong please? Any help would be really appreciated, thanks

Delete the old firmware you have on your PC, Download this >> THIS and flash your box again then do a factory default then powerscan using symbol rate 6887.

hi and thanks for the quick reply on this

I think that looks like the firmware link i tried twice, once in mid december and once in early january, and it updated successfully both times.

i'll try it again tonight, or is there anything else i'm doing wrong here?
extremely frustrating waiting for it to scan and not find anything each time!

Do as I said above and make sure you plug your cable feed in the RF socket and not the ANT at the back of the box.

Legend! I knew it had to be something simple like that, instead of getting frustrated i should have come on the site weeks ago.

Have it working now, thanks very much.

There should be some way on the site of giving reputation for the posters as I've noticed you're involved in most and give reliable information.

    Nice one!
