hi! i need help urgently. im new to all this. i have been trying to download the firmware for the EX5000, i have connected the rs232 cable via usb to my computer. all drivers have been installed. when i click download it comes with the msg " waiting for the response of your reciever" it has been like this for an hour. i have rebooted the reciever and the computer, still same. what do i do?? please help.. thanx
Have you read the main Eurovox PVR thread? In regards to your USB adapter settings have you set your Comm Port?
thanx Scouser xx! i have followed the steps to change the port settings for the usb and it has worked fine. in my device manager my usb was showing as comm(8) so i dropped it to comm (1) the download worked straight away. everything is working finally after a week of various problems! thanx again.
