Was wondering if theres an app that can sort the channels for the eurovox ex5000, like the app The starview channel editor.

Yes the UFL that you flash the box with does the same, with your CDF saved to your PC press Browse on the ULF select the CDF saved then press edit, the rest is self explanatory.

    Hi,

Im a newbie so hello to everyone :)

I have just got myself an ex5000 and i would like to have the channels nicely sorted.

I am a technical person so im sure i can work most of it out but i dont know what a UFL and a CDF is and where do i get it from?

Is it some kind of file that orders the channels which i just need to up;laod to the box using an rs232?

    Thanks for your help :)

Then you will need to load firmware on to the box to get it to do the job you have got it for, so go to HiTeck's guide and you will find all the information there. For the record a UFL is a Unified Flash Loader ( Firmware and Software loader combined) and a CDF is a channel dump file, created specifically for your area by yourself or some one else, go to the Eurovox link at the bottom of post or click on Eurovox Guide at the bottom of Hiteck's post above yours, same thing.

Edit - And yes you do use a NULL MODEM lead to DOWNLOAD and UPLOAD to and from the box.
