Hi. I am having real problems downloading latest firmware provided by hiteck in their thread. I think that i have successfully managed to download the firmware, but when i attempt to run it i don't seem to have the Eurovox download screen. Also, when i plug in my power cable as instructed, i don't see (----), the display says now booting, welcome to HD and then the date 01/01 and time 00.00. I accept that i am probably a complete numbnut who's not particularly clued up with computers and software, but i would greatly appreciate someones assistance. PLEASE HELP.

You don't get a downloading screen as such like older eurovoxes, the lcd display shows the progress of the flashing routine.
1 the firmware on the usb stick should be called "flash.tbn".
2 with the box turned on insert the usb stick into the slot at the rear of the 7000HD.
3 power off the box, wait for 5sec & turn it on again, the frimware will automatically download to the box.
4 when download has finnished press menu & goto installation, deepscan & select the symbol rate for your location (6887 for Ireland, 6952 for UK) then start the scan.
NOTE if your box displays time/date on the lcd it's in standby mode, press the red power button to turn the box on.

during the scan routine did the box find channels ?..are you getting channel names but no picture ? or just the scrambled channel message,?..try pressing the FAV button & click OK on ALL CHANNELS, do you see a list of channels ?

Hi Lenny123. I read some advice on a different thread which suggested that i rename the firmware FLASH.tbn, downloaded it and much to my surprise it has worked. Only problem is the channels repeat themselves. Perhaps you have encountered this problem yourself and could offer a suggestion. If not i'm sure i'll eventually solve it. Anyway, thankyou very much for your kind help and best wishes. I must confess that i am really impressed with this site.

yes "flash.tbn" I did say that in line 1 of my earlier post,..yes deepscan tends to duplicate the channels it's a bug in the firmware, you can use one of the other scan options,..try easy install,
