Eurovox help please.....

Hi all,

My FIL has given me an Eurovox box.

I am getting 205 channels and Im sure I can get more. Looking thru all the posts it looks quite confusing. Can anyone help with upgrading the box!
Current system is:-

Model:- DVB-XC BOX
S/W Ver:- 1.0 SSN4 July 05 2006
H/W Ver:- 2.0 July 05 2006
Bootstrap:- v002

Not sure if its a clone or an original. Can send pics.

I have a null modem cable.

I have looked at the pics and its similar to both. Not exactly the same as either of them.

Its an original box, you will find the latest firmware Oct 07 Blue in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post, although your amount of channels may not increase as you seem to have around the right amount.

Sorry to be a pain but I have tried to flash my box and I get an error saying "This firmware is not fit for your reciever"

This is the file I downloaded UFL_MAX_BLUE_01_10_07.

Any ideas?

 

Sounds like you have a red box then not a blue. Look at the grills on the top of the box with the display facing you. Top right you will see the silver tuner under the grill. Count how many slots of the grill it takes up and post back the answer.

 

scOuser, It takes up 11 slots

 

Nope thats a 2006 box alright maybe stick with what you have or try another copy of the file.

 

Its the old saying " dont try to fix it unless its broke "

Will stop messing with it now and be happy with what I have...
