    Can anyone tell me ,
does any model of the Eurovox box currently work in Ireland on Cable, or are they fixable ,like the Dreambox has been.
If so ,which models, and is there a TuT' on how to fix.
    Thanks.

Ps .A big thanks to all involved in the current fix for Dreamboxes in Ireland, (which is now in a full image form, that starts the cam automatically).

They still work on Ch**us cable and N** MMDS as they are still Nagra 1 for now.Eurovox TX, (discontinued) will work on Ch**us MMDS also for now. They do not work on N** cable. There are many threads on this subject.

The above answer is a little confusing,as the eurovox boxes recently stopped working properly on cable, losing channels gradually just like the dreambox ,
also, were i am NThell and Korus have both come together as one new company called UPC Ireland, so how can you tell which of the cable services you are on .

I tried to make it as easy as possible. UPC are indeed an amalgamation of both NT* and Ch**us, but each geographical area of Ireland is still divided up into the two old provider areas. And then they are also divided into MMDS and true cable areas.

You say where you are and we can tell you what provider you currently reside under.

Originally the service here (north kildare)would have been Korus cable, and is still cable, not mmds ,although its available, but the eurovox max v has stopped working properly here, showing very few channels.

Originally it was an exCMI area before Ch**us. The Max V should still work there, but always needed manual TP input. Have you got the correct frequencies?

I honestly dont know , a friend has asked me to see if it can be fixed and if i would be able to do it for him, but i know very little about this make of box, whats manual TP input?.

Im sure theres a thread telling all this, but i just wanted a quick answer before i went searching.
Ill get hold of the box and see if i can do anything with it for him.

Get hold of the box, but do it in his house as you will need to input each frequency one by one. When you are doing it or just about to post back and I or someone else will give you all the frequencies for that particular area.

The procedure is easy though tedious, but you will have approx 90 channels, (roughly what is available for that area and provider) after about 15 to 20 minutes.

Been a while but this should do it. But you need to make sure he has the latest firmware for his Max V or else it wont AU and will need manual code entry, (which we cannot discuss here). You will find the latest firmware in Eamos at the end of my post.

You need to do a factory reset first. Menu, config, factory settings, press OK. (From memory as I have not used the MaxV for a long time).

    Frequency List Chorus Kildare:

    324
    340
    348
    356
    364
    372
    386.750
    394.750
    410.750
    418.750
    444
    452
    460

To add these frequencies you need to:

    1. Press menu, installation, user installation. Use 1004 if asked for PIN.
    2. Press green button for TP edit.
    3. Press red button to add TP.
    4. Enter frequency and symbol rate 6875.
    5. Press ok, then repeat these steps until all frequencies have been added, one by one.

When they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu. Press the red button for auto scan/update channels. This will do a scan on all the frequencies entered.
