Ive been using a eurovox max for a year or so now with no problems, when codes are changed it updates itself. I am thinking of changing it for a starview 2 pvr so i can record programs as i cant find a standard pvr that will record anything other than freeview. Am i right in the thinking the starview doesnt update codes automaticly.? would i have to put in new codes manually..? if so were do i get them.? Any other advice would be appresiated.
The Starview PVR will update the codes as well, as long as you have the correct firmware loaded to enable the emu.
so i was going to get one from ebay, or is there somewhere better to get the right box from with the correct firmware
Hi The Starview PVR Box does autoupdate, no problems, don't have to touch it at all. I have one and can recommend them. Twin tuners records 2 different channs at same time. Pre record settings by EPG or instant record, timeshift. Put your own size Hard drive in (as easy as fitting one in a PC).I am impressed by mine. Google 'Wizard Satellite' or the popular auction site. jbvid
so all the posts on the forum for people requesting codes is that for older firmware..? whats the difference betwean starview and starview 2..?
Hi Yes, code requests are for the older firmware versions mostly on(Starview 1's) Differences : The Starview 2 also called (TheBox) takes newer firmware than the Starview 1's. jbvid
