eurovox max and 1968 question

    Just been reading through the forum about eurovox max codes as mine went last night not tried to update yet, but have noticed that some people mention you have to put 1968 in before updating could somebody tell me what its for and how i would know if i would need to put this code in before i try to update
    also looking forward if eurovox bring out a new update so you don't have to manually update how do i flash the box, what cable would i need to connect it to my computer and where could i get one from
