My Eurovox Max blue wont power on recently, even though the standby light is on.

Is there anyone on this site that could J-tag it and add the most recent firmware?

I wouldnt know where to start.

    Cheers.

Take the lid off and first try pressing the reset button on the board then try the box again.
Whilst the lid is off check the C14 cap on the PSU for signs of leaking or bulging at the top of the cap, also look carefully for any other blown leaking components,

    e.g C14 picture courtesy of sc0user :)

If the reset doesn't work try re-flashing and the last step is to replace the cap.

Right, i've now replaced the C14 capacitor and updated it with the most recent firmware but now i've got another snag!!

I've set my symbol rate to 6952 (Falkirk area, in between Glasgow and Edinburgh) and scanned for channels but its saying something like 'No transponder to scan'.

This is beginning to drive me f*cking nuts because i know it cant be anything too serious.

Can someone confirm if my settings are correct? See pic below... (Quality never goes above 29%)

Also, if anyone has any idea on what im doing wrong please say!

    Cheers in advance, its appreciated.

Make sure your cable feed is plugged in the RF-IN socket and not the ANT socket at the back of your box.

It is definitely in the RF-IN port.

    What else could it be?????

Try 6887 for your symbol rate after a factory default.

Picture looks fine, have you tried the original VM receiver and does it work ok? are you subscribed to VM?.

VM = Virmin Media (the receiver supplied by them), I doubt the firmware is wrong, what does it say in system info?.

EDIT; Can we stick to one forum please rather than me answering twice somewhere else!.
