eurovox max code update not working

Hi
Can anyone point me in the right direct i have done the following
Steps:
Menu-
language settings-
enter code 1968 twice (should bring up differnt codes)
Depending our your cable provide choose the apropriate codes.
scroll down to whichever one t/w n*t ect.......
press red button to input new code 00 and 01 (link at bottom)
press blue to save and exit

I cannot work out how to put the 1968 in. It just jumps into different languages
