    Hi there,

I am located in Kildare "Athy" and I have just installed my new Eurovox Max box. I am using Ch***s cable and I am using the frequency 6.875 but when I do a power scan I get no channels. Can anyone tell me if they have gotten a box to work in this area and if so what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help here.

Make sure your cable is plugged into the RF socket and not the antenna port

The cable connection is deffinetly in the RF in. I brought the box to a mates in Dublin and scanned on the 6.887 frequency and got 137 channels.

    HAs anyone else any ideas!!!

Are you sure you are on cable and not MMDS, if you are on cable are you sure it is digital and not analogue.

Hi scouser, its deffo cable and not MMDS. Not exactly sure if its digital or analog but 90% sure its analog as when I am doing a power scan the signal bar goes up to 75% signal very frequently but still not stations come through. Its the cable Eurovox Max V 2008 box that I have.

Afraid your out of luck with analogue as its a digital decoder. Best bet is to ring Ch***s and ask them if they are doing digital in your area, tell them you are interested in a digital package, then you will know for sure. AFAIK though you are analogue.

May have been simulcast and not pure analogue.

Not sure what you mean by simulcast!! how can I find out? when I plug the pipe cable into the TV it does not go through a decoder box it just goes directly into the TV....surely that means analog cable!!!!

Cheers JKen, so what your saying is that the Eurovox Max will only work on Ch***s digital and not Ch***s analog!! I am finding this hard to grasp as it is the oposite using the same box on N*L in Dublin.......
