Hi All - A question for you all.
Recently in Dublin NT* have sent out offeres to upgrade to the digital package for only a euro extra per month.

I currently have the eurovox with standard NT* cable (now obviously without the channells because of nagra 3) - But can anyone confirm if I upgrade to the digital package will NT* be installing a new box (or just changing what comes down the line)? What will the change to me be?

Then when the codebreakers break nagra3 will there be any additional affect?

    Cheers.

Ok - so what will the box do?
I'll obviously be getting rid of the box they give me & swapping it for my eurovox.

Also - is the eurovox capable of playing at a higher/digital standard?

    Thanks!

No. Not that I'm aware. The new box will do exactly as the old one would just with a new card.

Hi Mooley ;) UP*'s current offer is based around changing the standard STB to the DVR ;)

PQ is improved somewhat on the DVR as is the EPG but a TV signal is a TV signal?

Yeah what I was asking if I went for the digital upgrade offer was:

    1. Would I get a higher picture quality through the eurovox by switching from standard to digital? Or would it just be the same picture?

    2. Would I be able to still get the same channels as I had before(except those affected by nagra3)? I.e would I need to use the new box NT* give me?

    Thanks guys.

    Hi sc0user.

On the 1st one - I thought I'd somehow have a better signal through the eurovox by going subscribing to digital (didn't realise all NT* areas are now digital).

On the 2nd one - Then maybe the extra euro a month might be worth the investment while we wait for the nagra guru's.

I guess if the code gets cracked I could always plug the eurovox back in instead of the STB (I assume there's no 'workaround' to get all the channels through the subbed NT* box??? :)

Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated.
