eurovox max v 2008

please help
trying to flash but syas com port not avaiable

 

look in the eurovox link under my pic,also much easier to use the search facility rather than opening a new thread

 

have you tryed to reassign one of your ports? courtesy of celt71- Right click on that port and select properties. Then select port settings, then select advanced. At the bottom of that tab will be a drop down box with the port selected (port * in your case). Use the drop down to select another port (eg 1, 2 or 3). If the port you want to use is already allocated to something else, you can use the same procedure to reassign that port after you have finished.
Save the selections in the usual way. The USB converter will be permanently assigned to the port you selected.

 

i have tried using that but still no luck the usb is connected to com port 7 and i ve tried to assign it to port 2 but still no luck

 

have you tryed 1,3&4?

 

i have tried but still same problem in that guide courtesy of celt71 it says that make sure your map software is connected to right port what is that i mean how do i find what port is that connected to?

 

whta are you using is it a null modem cable?or a null modem in conjunction witha usb to serial adapter?is it vista or xp?

 

i am using a nul modem cable female to female and then a usb with 9pin on other side , ive just got it from ebay with software on a small disk it from hongkong, when i read all the notes people left ie hitec mainly, i thought i will buy these cables and do it myself. cant get hold of that guy that sold me that box. been using keys manually worked for a week the last one and its gone of again.

tought as much,nothing but trouble downloading firmware with vista,if you could find a pc running with windows xp and with a serial port it will download straight away for you.

hi guys i have the ev firmware release date 18/04/08 on my ev box i know there is new firmware released 30/11 and 5/12 which one should i update my ev max v 2008 with it is a genuine thanks in advance

malci just found out that firmware is for the uk only not ireland stick with the 18/04/08 one dont make the same mistake as me "if its not broke dont fix it"hope this helps others

 

Yep, but I beleive that you do need the UK fix over there now because it is the same ROM change that we had.

My Euro max vox is gone
I think N*T hav changed some thing(codes etc they are not updating any more), all my friends boxes are down also

DOES any body have a fix for it

hi help please!euro max v gone down again.got the box updated 2 days ago worked fine but gone again now anyone any ideas?
