First post here, and it's a cry for help.......I have trawled the forums for an answer but not found one. I have only just got this box so this is not just a question of not getting the channels anymore, I just cant get the thing to update. If this is the same problem as everyone is having with current boxes then please let me know. I have the correct firmware for my box, I have a null modem cable which is connected via a USB adapter running off the correct driver. When I hit the download button the sending does not move from 0%, I have waited 30 minutes with no change. When i power down and power up the box it flicks to downloading, and then after 90secs (it does does complete the download) it comes up as failed. I have waited a further 15 minutes with no change. I have also tried every USB port on my laptop and tried turning the box on after downloading has finished. I am running XP media center sp3 I have done a deep scan and it picks up all the channels but I only get 5 or 6 and the others just sit with a blank screen with code being updated on it. I have again waited 30 minutes with no change. All the other posts say what should happen, but they do not appear to 'happen' when i do it!! I am on NTHELL in Ipswich. Just tried again and it failed again, but finding 300+ channels, just comes up with code being updated I really have looked through all the forums on this and other websites and don't know what to do next
OK, I just used a friends laptop that had an rs232 port and it download 1st time. So much for rs232 usb adapters!!! All channels working now
