Can anyone answer this question On the above machine i am having problems reading the box on the bottom of the screen that gives you what the programme is about. Half of the box and the text is missing and i don't know how to scroll down to read the whole lot. Thank you if anyone could help.
I know of two other people who have the same problems as myself one has a large HD television and also has had the same problems. This could be correct what you state but can you scroll down this box to see the next lot of text which is hidden from view. Thank you
yes you can scrool down i can on mine .try changing ur tv settings on both box and tv.play around for awhile and u should get it
Then if you can scroll down on your box how are you doing it? i have not been anywhere near this box it is the wife that is asking if anyone knows this would save me having to sit around for ages getting accustomed to this box once again. I have not done anything on it for ages so i would not know.
Sorry to say most channels are broadcast in 4:3 with letterboxing so look crap on a widescreen TV. As long as the Starview is set to 16:9 and the TV the same then that's the best you will get until the channels get their act together. In order to test your widescreen tv on 16:9 is to set the Eurovox on fullscreen put it on bbc news24 which is correctly broadcast in 16:9 and this particular channel transmits the correct pids picked up by the box and sent to the tv which displays the full widescreen image.
Thank you for your replies i am afraid that this thread is not being understood this might be down to my explanation of the matter so here in greater detail is the problem. I must add that this problem is not unique in that it is only happening to me as i know a number of others who have also experienced this problem. When at the box which says EPG daily mode you have your stations to your right, a small screen to the left and then you have a box at the bottom. Now lets say you are watching a film or a soap at the bottom of the screen is a dialogue box giving you an outline of the story that the film or programme is about. However if there is a lot of information in that box the dialogue gets cut off and you have no way of continuing this dialogue to its completion. This problem is due to the Eurovox and not the television it is being viewed on. I have a CRT but i know those who have widescreen televisions who are also experiencing the same problem. It makes no difference if the screen is in 4:3 or 16:9. The only thing you will find is that when the screen is in 4:3 on a CRT you will find this dialogue box is bowing at the bottom and the border of the box is missing you can just about see the top of the border. When in 16:9 the whole of the box is displayed perfectly however some of the text inside this box is still missing.I would like to know how you scroll to where the text is cut off and jump down to read the rest of it.
