Any suggestions? I have recently flashed my eurovox max v box without any problems - however after approx 5 minutes of watching a channel eg bbc1 the box starts to crackle and the picture begins to break up. This soon spreads to other channels eg s*y sports 1 and others leaving the picture unwatchable. I have tried flashing again but this made no difference. Also i have tried my brothers identical box and that works perfectly so i know its not the connections or leads. It almost seems to be a build up of static if there is such a thing causing the problem. Any help appreciated.

sorry for the delay in replying-iam totaly new to these forums - iam in liverpool and used the firmware downloaded from the chatterbox toolbar - the latest one being the autosort feature(5/12/08) which i have used to flash 5 other eurovox max v boxes all without a problem. i had previously flashed the update on 30/11/08 the au fix and then on 1/12/08 the 8%signal fix.

if i flash the 8%signal fix again do you think that will solve the problem? if you flash more than one fix does the last one take priority? i ask this as i flashed this box 3 times with the 3 new fixes - the middle time was the 8% fix and the last one was the autosort feature.

The last flash (firmware) takes priority, for instance if you have flashed with the Autosort, then that it what will be on the box, a flash of any other version of firmware (suitable for your box of course) wipes the previous version, hope you are now clear.

thanx malci - do you think if i flash the 8%signal fix again it may solve my original problem(see start of thread)?

It will do no harm in trying it mookie, It may fix the problem for you, if your bro/s box works alright yours should be alright!!!, give it a go you can always flash back to whatever firmware you want. If it doesn't fix your problem then all I can say, going off your comments re.your bro/s box, is that your box might have an hardware problem ( some thing failing when warmed) or a faulty tuner even, but give it a go first, sure HiTeck will be around soon.
