Does anybody know if there will be an update soon to deal with N*L systematic changing of the freq to disrupt , i know its a simple autoscan to get the channels back but it would be good if the box could do it for you , couldn't see it being a big patch assuming you could have the program autoscan in the background say once a day and just remember the user preferences eg for deleted or locked channels..Can anybody do this ie open the bin file to its original files and data , if anybody has extracted the files , i'd love to see them, to see if i can make changes and convert the files back after testing to a usable image..
Are you talkin about fun or MOSC, as it is a totally different procedure to edit to the likes of a Starview, Eurovox, etc
Thanks for the response , i haven't seen the files so i wouldn't know the names , i'm primarily interested in the Eurovox files , but i'm sure such a patch would be relevant to all box considering the tactic of constantly moving freq or i'm i wrong , in the last few weeks i've seen lots of boxes in different areas just lose the channels with a " No Signal message" this is either caused by a change in the freq or is it because maybe the user switched of their box and it didn't autoroll , my understanding is that if that was the case the message would be "updating code please wait". As i think it the freq change , it would desirable to combat this but who recommends such a change in firmware , unless it come from senior members of the community , i probably wouldn't be able to do it but i always try to find a solution perhaps you know somebody who can amend or update existing firmware , i suppose in the end it has to be addressed as it a nuisance ...
When I was talking about fun and MOSC they are cards you can write to and so modify the card/box. The FTA type boxes like Eurovox, Starview etc fall into a different bracket. Yes N** have been updating frequencies and this has caused problems, especially in localised areas with the Eurovox in particular, although I am assuming this may be a signal strength issue also. A bin file can and let me say probably will be created but the FTA scene will be the last to the party, why not get a modded box and funcard, as this may be your quicker root, takes a bit of reading and research but all your queries will be answered. Or you can wait for someone to come out with a fix
