Firstly, thansk to everyone who has posted code updates and to everyone who has put up quality info about these boxes. It is much appreciated. I looked through all of the other threads for a solution to my problem and have been unable to find one hence the new thread. I have updated the firmware, 18 April update, on my Eurovox (Black Eurovox Max V 2008) and have had no problems. However, when I did the same to my mates I have run in to trouble. When I do a powerscan on his box it picks up the 13 transponders. But, at the end of the powerscan when it goes through each transponder and starts picking up channels none come up. I cant get my head around this because I have an identical box and I am doing exactly the same thing on my mates box. The 2 boxes are both part of the same batch so it is not as if one is blue/red etc. The frimware on his installed correctly, it just won't pick up any channels. If anyone can help me on this or offer any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
Did you do a factory default after flashing ? You can find step by step instructions here Or you can do a b0x to b0x transfer Use a null modem cable to connect the two boxes (then go to Main Box) Press MENU > CONFIG > SYSTEM INFORMATION > PRESS OK. THEN PRESS 1968 ON REMOTE this will bring up new menu. Screen will say set to set download. Then press program code download and wait for it to finish. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU ARE DOING THE TRANSFER THE BOX IS IN STANDBY MODE
Yeah, I did the factory default, but it still didnt work. I'll try doing the box to box transfer. I'll let you know if it works! Cheers
Finally got around to giving the box to box transfer a go. But i have a problem, how do i reset the broken eurovox? I have opened it up but i cant see a reset switch anywhere. Ive done a search and cant find a thread about this, so if anyone can help i would appreciate it. Thanks
there is no reset button on the box, just make sure its on stanby,ie the clock, what you transfer will simply overwrite the existing file thats on the dodgy box!
