    Hi Guys,

Has anyone managed to get a SATA HD to work with their pvr 5000?

User manual suggests a P-ATA HD but they seem to be far less popular (and harder to get) than the SATA HD's.

Would appreciate any idea's on this.

    Regards,

    Oliver.

The connection is P-ATA. No doubt you could get a P-ATA to SATA adapter but then most likely the hard drive would be protruding from the slot and you wouldn't be able to close the cover on the face of the b0x.

As far as trying it, and seeing it working, goes, I can't say because I haven't tried it myself.

I've never had any problems finding P-ATA HDD's myself. There's plenty of websites and stores that sell them.

    Thanks for that Scriber,

I had been looking on eb*Y and found mainly SATA HD's, I'll try one of the online stores.

    Regards,

    Oliver.
