I installed a toshiba Hard drive in the pvr. I can hear it spinning up. But when i try and record something it says its not installed or is full. I know it needs to be unpartitioned. I put in in my computer and ran windows xp setup. And deleted the partitions so its just unpartitioned space. Is this right?

push the hard drive in - the pins are tight
to remove i had to pull the tab with pliers
inserted again then press record leave a while then stop
press pvr and you should be ok

If its capacity is 160GB or above it wont work. It also has to be PATA, time to take it back out of your laptop :)

Without going into the technicalities of SATA v PATA. Just change the drives back to the way they were.

Apologies for the short answer, but I have to go and collect, "she who must be obeyed". :)
