i had lost some channels on my box so have done a powerscan an got my channels back,
my friend has also lost some channels and has asked me to get his back, i am wondering
is it possible just to scan for the lost channels without doing a full rescan
as i already have the freq's on my box
can i do a manual scan and if so how do i go about it

Go to the channel thats missing and press info twice, note down the frequency then press menu, along to installation, pull down to user installation and press ok, highlight the frequency noted earlier press OK so a tick appears at the side of the ch num, now press manual scan, leave it to finish and your channels should return providing they haven't shifted freq's.

hi i have looked on the other box i mentioned and it has a different frequency for the channel i am after so is there a manual way of changing it.
i went into the menu and then user install
then i pressed red for update channels, got so many back but not at the races which has changed frequency.
i went through all the channels and couldnt find it
i know from my own box what frequency it is on but carnt find it on my friends box so i guess i am looking at deep scanning that one to get all channels back.

You can add it manually or edit a freqs by doing as said above and when you get the user installation page where all the freqs show, highlight the incorrect freqs and press the green button "ch edit" type the freqs in and then update.

Bare in mind if your mates box is at another location to yours the freqs may differ so do as I said above using the blue button for manual scan on the problem freqs then if that doesn't work go by what I said in this post, failing that do a factory default and powerscan.

Hi, I have the same problem (sort of) but i don't have a clue about the abreviations in previous e-mails. I bought my box & haven't scanned it since. I lost Setanta a while back, it was replaced by sky 1/2/3 & now sky sports has gone!! I got told when i got the box i would never need to rescan it so I've chucked everything. Im in Nottm on Virgin, how do i get my channels updated!!! If i have to manual scan what does everything need to be set to? Thanks to anyone that can help

Having read that again I had tried powerscanning previously. It takes ages and turns up nothing. If I have to lose channels then ideally I want to keep music sports & movies. Thanks
