eurovox pvr

hi ive got my eurovox pvr and it keeps saying updating code..ive got the usb to serial cable and the rs232 cable can any1 help me from here..cheers

ive only got the standard rs232 cable and i cant get the firmware onto the loader or my channels to save...could this be the reason?

 

if you dont have the Null modem cables they wont flash, cables available in maplins, all info in hitecks thread!!

 

i have connected up my null modem cable now and wen i hit the download button it says waitin for response of my receiver...it makes me choose com port 3 but wen i go to my computer properties ie says my usb is in com port 8....

 

Change the comm port in device manager.

 

i have changed it to com port 1 but wen i choose this port from the downloader it says com port not available

 

Try any available one once it is between 1 and 4. Obviously 1 is used by something else in your case.

 

i just had to change it to com port 3...said download successfull so im gonna connect it back up now...cheers
