I have a eurovox max but I don't have the software. The guy who got it for me seems to delight in being able to fix it when it throws a wobbler, and I haven't the heart to tell him i could do it myself and it's an excuse for a stubby! But he's away a fair bit so what software do I need for my unit I assume there must be different formwares etc.. for different units?

my box has this info in the config menu
    DVD-XC BOX
    S/W 1.0 SSC4 OCT 20 2006
    H/W 2.0 OCT 20 2006
    BOOTSTRAP V.001

Depends on how long you have it as there are clones of this version out now. The safest version for you would be the Feb 2007 revision, this will improve the EPG for you.
