eurovox red

    hi got a eurovox max red, when pluged in it dosent come on , but when left pluged in 4 a while then switched off and on at the mains it comes on , any 1 know whats wrong, it's a pain when the power runs out. thanx. i changed the power board and it's still the same.

    Evening Des :) I'm not going to gloat ;) [​IMG]

    cmortimer try re-flashing the box although to me it sounds like a hardware fault hard to tell without seeing it. Do you know how to use a multimeter to check whether the power outputs from the PSU are OK when the box wont turn on.

    no i dont have a multimeter i had another look and the 4 small dots of solder behind the atty 2 look 2 be burnt out .

    i thought thats what it was called , it's that big chip in the centre of the board.

    If it's burnt at the back then it's not looking good. Time for a replacement I think.
