Guys, I have a Eurovox Digital Receiver (Red) for over two years. Recently, the remote has started working sporadically. It might work for 15 minutes, then it wont work at all for 15 minutes. It almost seemed like it was on timer! Very frustrating! Turned on TV today and found the remote WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. Any ideaS ? Def not batteries issue etc.
    Any help warmly received.
    Thx

Have you tried the old phone camera trick? Point the remote at a camera phone and press it, if you can see the LED flashing the remote is OK. Let us know how you get on and we can go from there.

sc0user, cheers. I tried this. No LED flashing at all it seems. Does this mean the remote needs replacing ? I dont understand how it works intermittently though. it seems to be working less than it was last week or even the week before! Is there a factory reset or anything I can do ? Assume powerscan etc will be of no benefit ?

    Cheers for the help

1.My Eurovox max 2006 box is locked . The green light on the front of the box is green .

    2. The remote control has stopped working. Batteries have been changed but it does not allow me to use the remote.

I have tried the camera trick and i can see a red light through the phone screen however, when I press a button it does not brighten.

Does this mean my remote is broken or is there another problem???

Need to get this fixed quick as i need to update the keys.

    Thanks

The remote LED should flash repeatedly as Sc0user stated above, if it is not flashing then buy a new remote and nothing you do regarding the factory reset will bring it back to life as it is the remote at fault and not your box, very cheap from a well know auction site ;)

The light at the side of the "Lock" on the front of your box is always lit, can you use the buttons on the front of the box to change channels volume ect.

As for your remote you will be able to see the led through the camera but if it is working it will flash repeatedly when a button on the remote is pressed as explained above.

ALSO why are you still entering keys, update the firmware on your box and you wont need to enter the keys. Guide for doing so is under my picture.

i'm having the same problem with my remote. it will work fine for a period of time. then the light ( using my phone camera ) will stay on rendering the remote useless. changed the batteries, doesn't make any difference. then after a while ( the time varies 15mins- hours ) the light stays off. no light at all when any buttons are pressed. then again after a time it will start working properly. this is a new remote, the old one was doing the exact same. any suggestions?
