eurovox remote

for some reason my box says that it is on lock,how do i undo this please anyone.

 

not to sure what you mean try and be a bit more specific please

 

my remote will not change channels,used other remotes with no sucess.on the box itself there is a light in green saying lock,this is between the standby and message display lights on the console.it seems to be in lock mode but how do i right this so i can change channels.

yes but had no problems with remote,one of the kids may have been messing with the remote and set it to lock if this is the case how do i cancel it.

 

no if they locked it you would still be able to use the remote,it would ask for a pin number,may be you could try and reflash ive never seen that before sorry

i would say that your box needs to be either reflashed or need to be jtaged they get stuck on lock if the box is a clone one did you open it to see if there is any paint on the screw heads

also what firmware did you put on it

 

Cant see any paint on the screw heads may just have to re flash.will this take off the auto updating if i do this.cheers all.

 

what have you flashed it with before?is it blue red or black?

 

Belive it to be red.

 

can you count the vents see if there is 8 vents running the lenght of the tuner(RF in)

 

you need to know what box it is

EUROVOX RED / BLUE

if the tuner is 8 slots long it is a red box.
if the tuner is 12 slots long it is a blue.

 

There are 1 either side and 6 on the top in total there are 8.no problems with channel changing using the controls on the box itself.although when changing noticed some channels with the lock symbol displayed on screen and on others there is not if that makes any sense.

 

just try the reflash with this firmware but you may have a clone and that could be your problem,as far as i no there is no fix for red clones,it will autoupdate ok but after you flash if the remote is working do a factory reset before you do a powerscan http://www.4shared.com/account/file/44971057/ef7f23c7/UFL_Max_RED_21_04_08.html

 

there is no fix for red clone and the box will not autoupdate if it is a clone box as there is no autoroll fix for that box

if you put genuine firmware on your box and it is a clone it will die please be aware of that
