someone please help. just got new eurovox max v 2008 from iwantabox.com. i,ve downloaded the firmware onto it using dnupload which i got both from this site. when i hook it up to the t.v. and do a power scan it takes about 30-40 minutes but when it stops there aren't any channels. my service is ok because my normal box still works. i'm on v****n in newcastle. any help will be greatly appriciated.

Most 2008 models come flashed already suprised yours is not. What firmware version did you load to it?

Have you checked to see if the emulator is turned on. Press, menu, language settings, type 1968, tuen emulator on.

Also tune to S*y sports one as it tunes in much faster.

Yes you are doing things right as you have the right firmware loaded. Do you have a splitter on your incoming line, if so I would recommend that you plug the Eurovox directly into the incoming coax while you are updating it. And just do a normal auto scan first, then if that does not work then go to a full power scan.

Failing all that I can tell you how to manually input the keys for your area. Have to make it quick though as I am leaving soon ;)

To update manually, do the following :

1.Press 'MENU', press 'LANGUAGE SETTINGS', press '1968' and you should now see two extra options.

    Emulation should be set to'enabled'.
EMM capture should be set to 'enabled'.

2.Once enabled and you have 'EMM capture' highlighted again type 1968 and you will see the key table.

3.Use the left & right buttons on the remote to cycle through the various provider types.

4.When you see telepest input these keys using your remote, follow the on screen button guide for input of keys:

    00: AB 1E 05 EB C6 65 46 77
    01: 51 6D 0F 08 41 BB D5 D8

Exit it out making sure you press save and exit. Give it a few minutes to update as sometimes it will take that long.

Best of luck. Any problems just drop back.

hi. make sure your cable is plugged into the RF and not the antena port which is what i did to start with i kept getting a poor signal. not sure about the info on your config screen tho but my box is brand new so if its got the same firmware i would have thought the info would be the same but i'm just learning myself
