hiya, i am pretty new to this cable box thing - i have 2 problems - we recently gave our eurovox max 2008 box to our in laws to use as we have acquired the newer EX5000 pvr red box.however it will not work and shows the message - no channels. we have tried to powerscan but there are no TPs. we live in glasgow and are now trying it in northampton, is this maybe the problem? If so is this why the second box we flashed for another EX5000 pvr red eurovox cable box in glasgow not working in England? I'd be really grateful for a bit of advice!! Our new box is working fine here and we flashed the same software onto both newer red boxes so i'm stumped!!
If you are trying to set up the box in Northampton, then you will need to do a Factory Default and Powerscan on the symbol rate 6887 N*L as you where most probably on 6952 T*l*w*st in Glasgow, there are only the 2 symbol rates for the UK, for further guidance go to the link marked Eurovox at the bottom of my post. (Glasgow does have two area's Glasgow 1 N*L 6887 and Glasgow 2 T*l*w*st 6952) It would seem that you where in the Glasgow 2 Area.
