You`ll need to disconnect the b0x from the TV & put it on standby. Connect the null modem cable from pc to box. Open the firmware on your desktop & click download. Wait until download is complete before disconnecting the b0x from the pc.
i downloaded the firm ware and then the bin file with the tv lead connected to the box, theres no ariel at the minute connected to the tv, did it ,atter that it was connected mate
Paul please stick to one thread, to avoid confusion. You need to recover you boot file, (happens sometimes with the TX) use this file here Follow these instructions: CHLD ERROR FIX - This error is caused by incorrect flashing. SW downloads Procedure: You should download two times to revive boot file. 1) Turn off the STB 2) Access STB Loader 1.1.exe 3) Select Boot File only - > Press Browser and then select boot_e02.bin 4) Press “Execution “and then turn on the STB. 5) Wait until box automatically re-boots. 6) If successful download, LED Displays “boot -> 02 “ - > and then select “Download “ on the STBLoader 1.1.exe. 7) Press “Browser “and then EVX TX_20071210_v002.bin 8) Press “Execution “and Wait until box automatically re-boots. 9) If successful download, LED Displayed “boot -> 02 -> On “ OK, the box is now flashable and will now need the EVX TX_H_071123.bin flash putting on it as normal. You will get it here

Thanks again,im really slow when it comes to these things,ive followed what you said and it worked, the box now says on, if i load the 071123 bin file is that all i have to do to get it to work, someone said i had to take out cable from box to tv.sorry if they are silly questions, i know once the box is flashed i have to do a scan for channels, etc, thanks again
Hi anyone help? set up tx last week got 85 channels. sky premier gone today and playboy ( not that i watch it )gone last week. tried a manual scan with the channel frequencies but keep gettin "bad or scrambled channel".any suggestions? will a factory reset help and if i do that will i have to reflash the box or will it just delete my existing channels. ta.
Yes a Factory Default is the best thing to do and a fresh Installation, and NO you will not need to re-flash your box, it will not affect the firmware you have installed on your box. Just deletes your channels.
Hi Malci. Did factory reset and rescanned sky premier still missing but checked it a couple of hours later an it was back. still missing playboy though even after factory reset and rescan comes back as "Bad or Scrambled Channel" Can't figure it out any ideas? Ta.
Not really mate, you have tried the obvious so can't explain that, maybe it will be back of it's own accord! I am in UK so don't know the frequencies sorry.
