Eurovox TX Software problems

I recently bought a Eurovox TX but i cannot load the software onto it. Im using port 3 in the Com dropdown menu cos its the only one that works. When i execute the progress bar appears but never moves. then i get a flash update cancel message. I have tried turning the box on and off but to no avail. Im desperate to get it working or else im gonna dump it and buy one from england with the software already on it.
Please can anyone help??????

 

its probably a rs232 cable you have they look the same as null but wired differnt do you no anybody with a pc then you can go staight from com to box and any box you buy now will not be flashed

 

are u using labtop or desktop . if labtop with vista u need to make a few adjustments in the com port settings.

 

Im using a laptop at the moment with microsoft on it, does that make a difference? Do you know the com settings i need to change?
A friend of mine tried to use his desktop computer and he said something about the com port settings being only 1-4 on his computer and with my dangle and null modem cable its a setting of 7? Does that make any sense?

hi was just wondering can anyone help me with loading the firmware on a eurovox tx when i plug in the box its says boot on the front of it and when i press download on the computer to load the firmware the box just goes blank and a few seconds later it says flash failed on the computer does anyone no how i can fix this thanks in advance

 

If you are using a null modem cable and USB adapter combo follow the link I gave above.

 

hi thanks for quick reply no just using a null cable iv loaded loads of eurovox boxes with the same cable and computer but they werent tx boxes

 

What firmware version are you using?

 

hi the one from eamos library evx tx_07_1123.bin

 

Should be fine and you are using the loader also? Try unplugging the TX, hit download, wait a few seconds and then plug the TX back in.

If you are still having problems try the EV_TX_CHLD_FIX_rev03.zip as its for TX boxes with flash problems. Although you usually see CHLD when this is the problem.

me again just downloaded the chld to my computer and im kinda puzzled when i open it it says boot_02.bin under that EVXTX_2007121... then read me then STBLoader 1.1.exe what do i do now sorry about this now

 

Open the readme it explains what to do Have you tried the other method I said before this?

 

just did it again this time and it started to down load uhdl came up then it said dcop on the box n it said download complete on the computer do u think it mite have worked

ya im going to bring it up to the guy who owns it now and ill let u no how i get on thanks for all your help one more question the cdf file in eamos library will that work on the box hes in limerick on c**rus mmds

 

Not sure exactly what part of Ireland its for. As frequencies differ it is better to scan yourself, only takes a few minutes.

Just one thing to check make sure it says 231107 in system info.
