I've got a Eurovox Max 2008. I've got the latest firmware (I think), 28/04/2008. Last night some of my channels for the first time became very blocky and totally unwatchable. The channels in question were STV, Channel 4, Channel 5 etc. I checked the frequency and it seemed to be all the channels on frequencies 483.000 and 499.000. In checking the signal strength, I noticed it had jumped from my normal 82% to 92%. Every other channel on all the other frequencies were fine. I've got a 10mb actuator attached to my modem so I decided to stick that onto the cable box where the signal comes into my house. The result of doing this was that it reduced my signal back down to 82%. However, channel wise it fixed all the channels that were totally unwatchable but has moved the problem to every other channel on all the frequencies and now they are unwatchable. Help!! I've got a Starview in my bedroom and that is working perfectly.
I have th 18/4/08 firmware installed . This morning most of my channels have the usual "Please wait - code being updated" I did another powerscan and it was finding channels but i am still getting the same message. Is there a later firmware update?
Is there a glitch with the 28/04 firmware, should I revert back to the previous up date ?. I am having problems with my signal on most channels and thought the latest update would resolve it, had no joy.
There seems to be some sort of issue with the 28/4 perhaps delete it and re install the 18/4 using Eamo,,s site......
