Hi. I am using Nero v 7.10.1 and every single time the burnt video skips at the 30 second mark for about 7 seconds. Can anyone help to resolve the issue? Thanks.
    Im running Windows Vista.

Skipping and freezing is usually a media issue. You didn't mention what you use.

I use this guide for quality media types. I use Taiyo Yuden 8X -R for success.

    Other things...

    Slower burn speed.

This could also be an issue with the burner itself.

Does this only happen when played back in your DVD player or does it also occur if you try and watch the copy on your PC? Maybe your DVD player doesn't like the burned DVD. Using a different brand/ different format or "booktyping" can help here, if your burner has that feature built in.

    I used Verbatim.
And I just checked. The skipping doesnt happen on my laptop, only on my dvd player (TV).
But the strange thing is, when I burn with another software, covertx2dvd, it never skips.
    Any idea? Thanks.

I'd try a different burn speed, slower.

Firmware. Make sure your burner's firmware is current.

    Nero7. Remove and reinstall.

Background programs. Turned off or disabled while burning.

If that doesn't work, I'd still try different media, if only to eliminate that as a possible cause. I'd also consider an earlier version of Nero 7 for the same reason.
Like I mentioned, you can also change the booktype of by using +R media with a booktyping capable burner.

Try other burning programs. For Nero users this is a waste of the money you spent on Nero though. You already know your player works with ConvertX.

    Firmware update.
    R&R Nero.
Eliminate as many background programs as possible.
    Change media brand/format.
    Change burn speed.
Replace burner with one that booktypes.
