every time i try to burn this happens!!

    Hi every time i try to burn a dvd with nero i get a message saying that i should insert a cdr/rw.i have tried various blank dvd/r-rw and still the same message .what am i doing wrong?? Thanks for any help i receive.

    Which version of Nero are you using, Nero6 or Nero7 some contained bugs and are causing problems.

    Did you choose DVD when you started and not CD? Look around and see if anything shows which type of disk you are creating.

    hi yeah i selected dvd but it still requests a cdr and i'm running on nero 6
