everyone's opinion VOB to MPG4 converter?

    I am wondering what everyone's opinion is the best FREE software to change a file from VOB to MPEG4 to enable it to play in an ipod. I really need some advice here.

    I think it would have to be the free avidemux 2.4.3, it has a nice preview screen where you van edit the video and it has a special "ipod" setting it's a real powerful and easy to use program.
