I've hooked up my pc to my TV using the S-video output of my GeForce 6800LE graphics card.
In dual screen clone mode the TV sucessfully shows everything thats on my PC monitor except when I play a movie (in avi format), although the movie plays fine on the monitor, on the TV only the windows media player appears along with the sound but in the space where the movie should show it remains blank.
    Any ideas?

You could try it without being in clone mode.

The only difference is that you'll have to drag WMP onto the tv screen (over to the second monitor usually to the right)

Just remember that Alt+Enter will put WMP into fullscreen and Ctrl+P Play.

Thanks for your suggestions...I actually had to enable overlay for the secondary (TV) device. Now it plays videos really well. Saves all the trouble of converting avi files to DVD in order to watch on the TV.
