Everything on desktop gone, all icons, trash can, bar down there+start menu?

After a removal of some malware/spyware/adware..pretty much just a quick scan, It told me to reboot, like always. So I did..And when I go to log onto my profile (this is windows xp) it takes like 4x longer to log on..still makes the logging in noise, but my desktop is completely empty and just black.
All I can do is ctrl+alt+del.
And This is on my profile, guest, and my brothers.
I tried system restore 3 times to different points, earlier and earlier and it didnt work. I tried going into safe mode to see if it would help at all, and it didnt..Some one told me to ctrl+alt+delete and new task "explorer.exe" which it wouldnt let me.. so what could be the problem and how can I fix it?

 

No one knows..anything about this?
I believe its called a vundo trojan?

 

Post a Hijack This log (don't delete anything with it yet) over here, someone should help you pretty quickly: http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/166 at the Virus and Spyware Problem's forum. Maybe, run full scan's with Malware Bytes Anti Malware and/or Super Anti Spyware (both free), heard that can help with this. Good luck.
