Evo X

hi everyone i have read through previous forums but still confused! im trying to install Evo X so i will be able to link the xbox to the pc as i cant do it at the moment. Programs i currently have on the xbox are Xcommando and another FTP programme. However i have bieng told i need Evo X to connect them but i cant mange to install Evo X at all. I bought a copy that didnt work , (Wouldnt give me a refund even!) , ive maide severaly copies myself on CDR and DVD-R but all of which when loaded onto the xbox say "Unable To Read Disk Please Check it is an xbox game or DVd...".

Can someone please please help me install EvoX , or if it comes to it ill purchase a copy , (Unsure whether it will make a difference or not but im from England and so its a PAL Xbox)

You can't buy Evox since it's not for sale (it's free). And you need to have a modchip to install it. No modchip, no FTP.

 

first of all shady it don't matter where your from for evox i'm from uk too.
anyway you must havd a modchip because you have software in it yeah?
what you should do is do a search for slayers auto installer 2.5 use google to search for it
you can get this in two forms it can be files or and iso get the iso one
burn that with nero 6 as an image very very slow on a cdrw remember to close the disc
put it in the xbox then turn off xbox turn on xbox so that it boots up and then chose option 5 ok?

i have managed to get a copy of evo X from someone but i dont know what to do know, its installed but nothing seems different, by the way i do have my xbox chipped, when i had it chipped they installed a new thing on it so it is blue now and there are applications , homebrew , emulators etc. but now i want to install evo x . with evo x will i then be able to rip the xbox games??

shady i'm pretty sure you have evox in you know because you have applications too you have somekind of dashboard goin on anyway! because it ain't booting to msdash anyway you may have problems with certain media do this for me eject the tray of your xbox and discribe what shap the hole in your tray is then we can work out from that because there is three different types and they all read different media format also what media format is your evox on?

 

well ive rebooted the xbox somehow:s lol and now its back as original dashboard, like from the shops, i can load up the disk simple enough but im unsure how to install the actual EvoX dashboard as when i install it nothing changes.

 

so you haven't bothered to do what i just asked then? because i can't help you if you don't read what i'm trying to find out

when you boot your xbox with this disc in the tray
what are the options you see?

 

ok sorry about the confusion.
There is a green background, at the very top it say slayers auto installer, there is then some system spec (temperatures etc) , there are then lots of options including install XBMP, MSDASH , APPS , EVO X .... i have tried installing evo x it installs files onto the hardrive but when i boot the xbox up with no disk in the dashboard is just the same as when i originally bought my xbox from the shop.

do you know what chip you have in?
and have you tried playing any of your own backed up games yet?
or a friends backup up owned game just to check?

 

well i have played a few back ups on it , and i also copied a backup to make another backup which also plays, sorry but i dont know which chip i have but if its any use i paid 45pounds (35 for chip 10 for him to install it :S)
