Hacking Action Replay For An FTP Alternative Tutorial
    By Daniel Duchnowski

    Tools/Materials you’ll need:
    -Action Replay(duh)
-The HIGHEST Capacity Xbox Memory Card Possible
    -WinRar Software
-Sid 4 Installer Knave Edition Save
    -Splinter Cell 1 (not Platinum)

    How To Do It:

    1. Make a new folder called “Hack”
    2. Drag a random save into that folder.
    3. It should be in WinRar format. Open it with WinRar.
    4. Right click on a random file INSIDE the WinRar file. Right click and then click “Rename” with that random file and copy the name and then delete that random file from INSIDE the WinRar save.
    5. Take a modified map in WinRar format (you need to zip/compress it (make a NEW WinRar file and drag the map into it)) and right click it and click “rename.” Right click the name box and click “Paste” to paste the name from the previous deleted random file from the WinRar save.
    6. Now that it’s renamed drag it INTO the WinRar save. Go into the WinRar save and the file you just dragged into it should be named “<name>.<file type>.Rar” (example: “ImageSave.xbx.Rar”) Right click it and click “Rename” (again) and change it from “<name>.<file type>.rar” to “<name>.<file type>” (example: “ImageSave.xbx.Rar” to “ImageSave.xbx”)
    7. Save the Xbox WinRar save and then open Action Replay. Drag the modified save from the “Hack” folder to your memory card. It should fool Action Replay to think it’s a valid save.
    8. Put the memory card in the xbox controller.
    9. Go into Splinter Cell on your Xbox.
Go to “Linux” profile with the “Sid 4” Save as the only “Linux Installer” save on your xbox (except for the Splinter Cell profile). Open Linux and go to checkpoints then you should go to a new screen. Sid 4 usually has a file manager and a save manager. Go to the save manager.
    10. copy the modified save onto your Xbox.
    11. goto the Sid 4 file manager and go to
E:\UDATA\<weird number that you saw in your WinRar save under “UDATA”>\<name>.<file type> (example: “E:\UDATA\123456789\ImageSave.xbx”) Highlight it.
    12. Press “start”
    13. Goto “Rename”
    14. Rename it to “<any name>.rar
    15. Open it.
    16. While opened press start and goto “extract all to…” and browse to
    E:\Games\<your game’s maps’ folder>
(Example: “E:\Games\halo\maps”) It is essential that you have your favorite game copied to your “E:\Games” folder!!!!!” (Read the second part of my tutorial to know how to make it that way)
    17. Extract and done.

How to copy a game to your evolutionx’s “play games off of hard disk” folder (“E:\Games”):

Use the method above BUT INSTEAD OF A MODIFIED MAP transfer “boXplorer” (A file manager you can download to your pc off the web)
    *unzip it to to “E:\Games”*
Go to your evolution dash. BoXplorer should appear in “Play games off of hard disk” Play it AFTER you put your preferred game disk into your disk drive. When inside press start and go to “D:\” drive. Select all the folders using the “x” button. Do the clicky thing with the left joystick. Now browse to
“E:\Games” Click the left joystick again. Then press the white button and go to “copy” and when a warning appears pull both triggers and press start. Now your game shall copy to your evolutionx’s game folder.
    Done! Now start modding!
