awhile back i softmodded the xbox with evox but now its messed up there is no apps or anyother section on there anymore it just says launch disc and system settings and i have no idea on how to fix it i cant even go to the m$ dashboard now and when i try to update the dash it just resets itself and takes me to the game.. and also i cant even play my audio anymore i ftped my xbox and when i looked in the drive letters there was nothing excpet in the E:apps and was only T & Udata and some kind of bmp image and i cant even reboot it now unless i turn it off and do it that way if anyone knows away to fix this i would gladly appreciate it
So the evolutionx main screen doesn't have any of the sections? If you connect by ftp is there a C: drive? Is there any subfolders in C:? Can you remove and restore from your game exploit? Can you tell me what happened right before your problems manifested themselves? Did you delete something? If you rerun your game save, you can remove the exploit and go back to a clean M$ dash and then start over. Did you do all the recommended backups, while doing the softmod? The more complete information you give the better someone can help you.
No when i run my xbox there is no apps or any section like anymore i would be able to but my xbox action replay disk is gone and i cant do it without it. Yeah when i ftp my xbox the sections are there but there is nothing in there except for the E: Drive wich only has like i said the T and Udata and some kind of Bmp Image in it and thats it.yeah theres a C Drive but there is nothing in Crive at all though, there away i can like install evo X with some kind of auto installer or wont that work? well b4 it got messed up i was trying to install xbmc in the apps section but xbmc wouldnt work kuz i got some kind of message screen saying xbmc fatal error wrong skin version needs at least version 2.0000 required so i took it out but i dont know how everything got deleted kuz im pretty sure i didnt mess with the C drive section at all and i forgot to save my eeprom also to my computer.Yeah i did all the backup but now i cant even do that kuz somereason its in there now.
ok if you can still get to your evox dash then you can backup your eeprom no problem. I remember on one of the saved game exploits dhcp wasn't enabled, so you woudl have to enable it then reset the ftp connection (not the xbox). If you reset the xbox it wouldn't save any of the settings and you'd be back to square one. What it sounds like is happening is you did a small softmod installer on E: and somehow c: got wiped out. You should fix your c: asap. Also you could use a AID disc i would think. Might as well try it, if you can load a dvdr then you should have no problems fixing your box. If you want my modded C: let me know or search the recent threads.
I tried the Aid disk but it wouldnt go back to the way i had it when i 1st installed it, how do i reset dhcp kuz i really need need to fix evox i tried almost everything on the aid disk to fix the dash but it didnt work.. when i checked my bios version it was M8 bfm and my kernel was 1.00.5101 or something like that.How do i go by of fixing the Crive to get it back to Normal? Yeah like i said when i softmodded it i Used the AUF exploit on it kuz i didnt really know how to use the Aid disk or anything at 1st..if i had my xbox action replay disk i would like download the xploit again and then redo it but my disk got cracked on accident though..so yeah If u can tell me how to fix the C:drive i would be really greatful or give me one of ur modded C
Alright first off if you have a mod chip or updated bios on your mb don't use this drive, it won't work. cheater drive http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GHHFXQJI Just download the file and inside will be all the files you need, backup your c: first then replace it with this. hey thanks for the C stuff for the Xbox but it didnt do anything and i put it on where the C drive was i guess thats where it suppose to go but i did manage to remove the softmod now with the AID but now i have another problem i get error 13 code telling to call customer support
weird... it usually works... anyway here's ur error code 13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed. The error it gives is because of the incompatibility between the (older) dashboard (4920) that older slayer cd installs and the new dashboard/kernel versions found in some new xbox's and found in xbox's that have been connected to xbox live (when you go on xbox-live, it'll upgrade your dashboard file to i believe it is now 5659.03. This dasboard is incompatible with the dash that (old) slayer cd installs (for example 2.5 or lower) for you. (In detail, in the eeprom chip there is a kernel which is incompatible with the dashboard (4920) that slayer installs.) So what do you do to fix it? You can use the dashupdate found on most new xbox games! Be sure to 1st unplug your ethernet cable before you do so!!! Besides that, just use a good installation disc and all is fine. Use a 2.6 slayer or something similar
So if i use a slayer Cd it would Fix the error Code and Revert my xbox back to Normal.. Kuz i tried playing a game and it wouldnt work all it did was just have like flashing red n green lights on..So How do i go by of getting a Slayer disk to fix the error Code?Kuz i heard the only way to fix the error is by Hotswapping and im not familiar with Hotswapping like that and i dont really want to blow my PC Up. Yeah i will Look into getting a slayer disk so i can try getting the error code out
