Hi Torres9, as a novice i thought i had flashed the box, because i got channels (1-5) comin up, the rest were scrambled, however when trying to flash, using null modem cables, the notefield read "waiting for reciever to respond", so still unsure, how will i know if the box has been flashed? i will try what you said anyway. i know there are problems with VISTA and downloading, i have read this on other sites. Cheers

If you did not get the SUCCESSFUL message then it did not flash, if you read through HiTecks guide (link in my sig) you should be able to work your way through it.

Hi SG8, i have tried HiTecks guide, even unpluging box several times, then hittin download button, i think there is a problem with VISTA, same message appears "waiting for receiver to respond" using proper USB drivers and Null Modem cabels, have left it for up to an hour nothing happens, i think i got channels because of HiTecks symbolrate and frequency link, (wish i had his brain) Anyway have asked a mate to bring his laptop and to see if that will work. Thankyou SG8.

Hi Guys just read HiTecks guide, re: Downloading firmware, and it does clearly state that there are problems with VISTA, need PC with XP installed... Thanks HiTeck Sorted, think my mate has this. Cheers.
