hi all got my new pvr other day all fine culd not find tranponders with scan so put my eurovox cdf on it all ok ist problem thought is after doing a power scan and sorting all channels out wich took ages i cannot upload to ufl keeps reporting an error and 2nd even stranger i looked at box today and the fav names have changed by themselves is that possibly ?
Please try and re-explain poolibell, I cant understand your question, You say you couldn't find TPs so you then downloaded your CDF and then did a powerscan? this will cause it to auto arrange your channel causing the category names to change as you have overwritten your CDF and if the original CDF was taken from a max red for e.g and then put onto a PVR then after you did a powerscan the category names are different between the 2 boxes. Also you cant upload the UFL, did you mean CDF? or are you trying to update your Firmware.
sorry thanks for reply 1. because i could not do a scan originally i put new firmware 1a version on new box ,and channel data from my computer saved for my eurovox 2. i then done a powerscan because i wanted to make sure i had all channels available and do scans very often because they jumble up all favs etc 3. i then rearranged things how i wanted them changing fav names and moving channels to where i wanted them. 4. when i tried to upload my new sorted channel data via the ufl it let me do it 5. i then tried to access data to check it via the edit option which i have done before and it gives me an error report 6. the last thing iwas not going to put on forum incase you all thought i was mad or drunk but overnight my fav catagory names have changed none of the channel order has but the saved names i put on ie:kids etc changed and adult changed to other
5, What error message did it give you? 6, Never heard of it changing itself? are you sure you saved the changes you made, unless you powerscanned after the channel editing I dont think it's possible that it would change itself.
i know what you mean it sounds really daft the error message is when trying to edit channel data in ufl dnupman mfc application has encountered a problem and needs to close i downloaded the loader from bigmaq toolbar i am going to try again now delete all saved and upload it again see what happens as for the fav names changing i am putting that down to alzeimers or something because it seems impossible cheers
What exactly did you download from that toolbar? I have heard that it is a bit dodgy. You would be better to download what you need from eamo's library under one of the guys sigs.
You dont use Dnupman for your eurovox pvr! you use the 1.1a UFL= unified flash loader which is here, http://www.4shared.com/file/56268869/5c638bf5/UFL_ex5000_v11a.html Can you press menu, config, system info then ok, read back what it says in there please, I hope you havn't used Dnupman for your firmware aswell!
Hi HI TEC, whilst i am online talking to you ,i wondered if you could shed light on another problem i have sorted but there seems to be no definitive answer when searching for the problem. 1.a customer called box saying something like do not reset box contact supplier on screen(promising no one has touched box). 2.When i got there nothing on screen all lights showing on facia 3.When i got home to sort box dead caps gone so i put in new power supply but still dead power supply was working fine 4.tried loads of times to jtag eventually doing so 5.box then said PEAA on display although i put correct tsop on 6.tried loads of times to load firmware on ,box not showing connected but eventually managed to do it in boot mode 7. Box still showed PEAA 8.Tried again eventually managed to load firmware max kuro3_28_04_)on and box and showed 0000 hooray 9.put on cdf plugged in connected to signal box showed no signal 10.reflashed WITH same showed PEAA 11. re jtagged flashed with kuro3_18_04_08 all ok working sorry to bore you do you think there may be an underlying problem that may reoccur, cheers ps i dont blame you if you dont answer Andy

I did not the report just said that ( i used ufl_ex500_08-07-08 from bigmaq toolbar download)
LOL!!! PEAA is a protection error message basically you may have used the wrong firmware. Getting back to the original problem , download the link I gave you and try that.
downloaded link same problem if i upload cdf and try to edit it gives same error report p.s. its the same link as bigmaq toolbar
Not the same link, the link was from eamos, bigm@q is from streamline, I would try it on another PC, if your cable is ok and and you have uploaded it correctly it should let you edit it.
