    Hi!

I would be grateful if anyone could help me with this problem.

I have just purchased a Eurovox EX5000 PVR with a 120Gb hard drive fitted.
I had the box connected to my upstairs TV and everything worked OK.

When I connected it to my downstairs TV I am having problems recording. I can pause and play live TV ok.

If I record a program everything appears to be working ok but when I press the PVR button I get a brief glimpse of the PVR manager screen with a lot of squiggles on it and then the screen will go blank and then back to the TV program. Sometimes the box freezes up and I have to reset the box.

Hope this makes sense and thanks for reading this.

Have you tried a factory reset? then you will have to rescan for your TPs. I havnt come across this before but usually the factory reset/default fixes alot of problems.

    Hi! Thanks for your reply.
After posting my question I went to Menu/Config/clear data/ and deleted all recordings and Hey Presto it was working again. If I do a factory reset will I have to flash the box again?
When I turn box on in the morning I have to switch box off and on by the rear switch to get it to work. Do you think a factory reset will cure this?

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards
    Peter

A Factory reset does not wipe the firmware so you will not have to flash the box again although you will have to rescan for your channels, Try it it may fix the problem your having.

    Hi
I had a similar problem. Try recording something first then press the PVR button.

Tried doing a factory reset still the same. Looks like I will have to live with it. Its not a huge problem just means turning the switch off and on.

Try recording or try the pause, let it run for about 10 mins then press the PVR button.

    Apologies I missed your reply,
If your box works fine upstairs and not downstairs I dont think it is a problem with your box but maybe the scart lead or somthing else your using. Are you using the same connection upstairs as you are downstairs?
