    Hi,
I've had my eurovox ex5000 for 8-9 months and all has been fine until around end of January.
On a Sunday a couple of months ago i woke up to find a message from friends telling me that my area, in the south of England, had gone down because of work being carried out and my box would not be working. For about 5 hour i had nothing. When it all came back i found that channels that been working perfectly were ether saying no signal, trying to update codes but not being able to or pixelating and cracking and unwatchable. I could for instance get bravo perfectly but bravo+1 would be all over the place. I have kept up with the latest firmware but its still the same. Today i tried to reboot the box using the installation instructions that came with it but now i have lost my 300 channels to just 28 and still have pixelating, cracking and all the same problems. Usually booting or updating gives 200 odd channels. I don't know what to do next can anyone help me please?.

Sounds like a cable company problem, plug the wire directly into the back of your tele, and scan your tele for stations, if reception is iffy, hide your eurovox and call cable company out.

About 10years ago a ntl chap lived in the basement and he rigged me a line from box on the outside of house so i would be able to get the five channels. It was a friend, a couple of years ago, that told me i may be able to work a box form the line in, and was delighted to find that i could. vgn have no records from this address. I have cheked the box no the wall of the house and all looks fine.(the splitter)

Have you turned the signal booster on in TV settings then you will have to reboot the box for it to work.

Whats strange is that, in my 28 channels i have the channel Dave and sister channel Dave ja vu, Dave is pixelated and cracking but ja vu is perfect i just don't understand. Do you think it would be worth doing a factory default on it?

signal strength is between 85 and 88 on the Dave's. Eden is flashing between no or bad signal and code being updated and signal rate is between 88 and 90.

Turn signal booster off then reboot, take out any splitters, factory default then deep scan, your signal is too high.

if you have any other ideas about this pixelating and cracking let me no. the Chan G.O.L.D. and +1 have always had this problem and are still the same but others are back.

If your getting everything but them I would leave it as it is mate, changing anything now could cause you to loose other channels.
