    Go into Safe mode and then try deleting the file.

    I guess that's what you get for downloading something. You should run a virus scan with some program. The best way to delete it is to run these antivirus programs in safemode. The best program I think is AntiVir, you can go here to download it: http://www.free-av.com/ I'm not sure how to find out what it installed but you should be able to delete everything that it did. Post your results

    When you restart your computer, keep tapping the "F8" button and a list of choices will appear. Select "Safe Mode" and then hit enter. Run the program and delete what it finds and hopefully the virus will be gone. After your done, restart computer normally.

    update;

    i ran the scan with the AntiVir(this thing took over an hour) and right at the end once it gathered all my alerts... I get virus and/or unwanted programs were found in one or more archives - infected files in archive will not be deleted or removed - and it just prompts me to hit ok. so i didnt get to delete anything there

    it found quite a bit, a lot of consecutive ones in a C/uploads folder

    i tryed searching for them and manually deleting whatever it was, but i couldnt find nothing =/

    When I run AntiVir, it only took twenty minutes. Not sure why it took an hour for you. They might be in hidden folders and that's why you couldn't find them, so you'll have to turn on Show Hidden Files and Folders

    so if i turn on hidden files and folders will it scan and delete within in the archives...? (cause i didnt get to delete anything)

    on that same note, someone recommended spyware blaster..and i got it. and under firefox - what do i find "7adpower" restricted sites has some stuff - ie has some cookies listed as active x ;/

    you think with protection enabled, I'm safe?

    thanks so much for your help and time, Ken

    i dont feel so bad about this anymore

    You might have to change settings in AntiVir for the deletion of files. The program should have searched all of your hidden files and folders. Spyware Blaster is pretty good and with these programs, you should be safe for the most part. You should also download CCleaner and run that (thanks to ddp for telling us about this program) and then fix any issues that you have with ccleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp

    Another program to try is Xoftspy, it says that will delete 7adpower, I've used this program and I think it's good. Click here to download xoftspy http://paretologic.com/?id=djmweb&p=2
