This has been an on-going problem. When ever I download a set up file for a program, most of the time they do not work. Normally, I double click it, the little hour glass comes up for about 2 seconds, and then it disapears, and nothing happens. I have shut down my firewall (Zone Alarm Full Suite) and spy sweeper, and heck, even AIM to try and fix this problem. I have restarted my computer. Sometimes shutting down programs helps, most of the time it does not. I'm trying to install the new yahoo messenger...

If anyone knows how I could fix this annoyance, it would be appreciated

    Thanks

i have that sometimes and it usually fixes itself :) if not you could always extract the files from the setup and try and rub them that way :)

something that usually also fixes this for me is when i open task manager and then end explorer.exe then go to new task and type in explorer and it will reopen it which resets alot of stuff try that :)
