I Need to export from Avid Express DV into Nero to get a "Broadcast" quality DVD, it all works fine when i export Quick Time Movies except that the quality is rubbish. I think this might be because when i am exporting the screen size is set to 352x288 . What size should the screen size be, or should i be exporting as Mpeg1 or 2 and if so where is that option on avid?
you are right you need to encode it and export it as either an avi or mpeg file to your hard drive then convert it to mpeg2 before you can burn it to disc.Avid may not have that function so you will need to export it as an avi then encode it with say, vso divx to dvd which will bring it into line as an mpeg2 or dvd caompatible file. Nero will then reconize the vob files and allow you to burn it to your disc
